2005 was a fantastic year for indie-pop albums, led by Eels' moving and self-deprecating Blinking Lights And Other Revelations...one of the best and just purely "human" releases of the decade...and an additional trio of contemporary pop classics...the hammy Picaresque, power-pop standard Twin Cinema, and Antony's oh-so-vulnerable, one-of-a-kind, transfiguration-themed I Am A Bird Now...just nipping at Blinking Lights's heels.

Also including knock-out tracks from Spoon, The Magic Numbers, and The Stars's stunning You're Ex-Lover Is Dead, this is my second favorite pop-focused mix in all the years I've been building these collections after 2006's Bubbalicious, Baby!
